Vocab Words #3

Subtle:

There is just a subtle difference between a legitimate brand and its impostor. For example in this picture the only difference is in the spelling of "Adidas", where in the picture to the left, a black-market product, is spelled "Daiads".

Vehement:

The fans are clearly expressing their loyalty to their team with a vehement enthusiasm. They are unanimously standing, most focused on the game.

Adverse: The two forces here are adverse. The Jedi on the left is on the side of good according to the star wars timeline, and Darth Maul on the right is on the dark side. It looks as if they are about to duel.

Discreet: Kanye was not at all discreet at the Video Music Awards (VMA) when he took the microphone from Taylor Swift and declared Beyonce the rightful winner of the award for best video of the year. he was certainly not sober or judicious in doing so.

Flout:
This renown scene from Oliver Twist illustrates the flout Oliver was treated with. When Oliver asks the person in charge of distributing the food to the orphans, the person scoffs and humiliates him in front of everybody.
